A group of 20 students hailing from Naxal affected areas of Chhattisgarh today met Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde here.
The students, who had recently participated in the CRPF sponsored 'Abujhmaad cup'- a football tournament, have been brought for the first time to a big city like Delhi by the paramilitary force.
Shinde, according to a CRPF statement, urged the boys to become the 'true ambassadors of democracy' and shun any instigation for joining Naxal ranks.
The force is deployed for undertaking anti-Naxal operations in the state and it has initiated several such initiatives like the recently held football match in the state to bring the youth of the area into national mainstream.
The 20 boys brought here by the force hail from Narayanpur district of the state.
The young boys later also met Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) chief Pranay Sahay at the force headquarters here.
The boys will be taken to various historical and tourist places in Delhi before they return back to their state.
