Youth arrested for rape

A 20-year-old youth was today arrested for allegedly raping a 22-year-old woman repeatedly over a period of two years on the pretext of marriage here, police said.
In a complaint filed with police on September 1, the woman, a resident of Nangli Poona in north-west Delhi, alleged that Rohit Kohli had raped her several times at various places in Delhi and Gurgaon from October, 2014 to June, 2016 after promising to marry her.
The woman told police that she met Rohit, a resident of Naharapur in Gurgaon, in July, 2014 through his brother Amit Kohli who was her friend, a senior officer said.

When the girl asked him about marriage in March this year, he allegedly threatened her with making her "objectionable" MMS public and demanded Rs 25,000, said the officer.
The girl alleged that even though she had paid him the money, he continued sexually exploiting her, she stated.
