Victim's father runs a grocery shop. He had gone out for some work yesterday and the girl was managing the shop. At this time, Yogesh who resides in the vicinity, barged into the shop and forcefully attempted to rape her, police said.
The girl started shouting and as the locals gathered at the shop, the accused fled from the spot, police said.
The accused has been booked under section 376 (rape), 511 (offence punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment) and 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt) of the IPC.
