Youth commits suicide after lover's mother hits him

A 19-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide at Gumanpura area here by ramming his speeding bike against a minibus over the humiliation meted out to him by his lover's family, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday when Pawan Mehra rammed his motorbike against the minibus on Kotadi flyover under Gumanpura police station, ASI Manmesh Goswami said.
A suicide note allegedly left behind by him said that he was depressed over being beaten up by his lover's mother, he said.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Motor Vehicle Accident Act 1988, police said.
The body has been handed over to the youth's family after postmortem, they added.
