Youth commits suicide after seeing videos on how to hang self

A 24-year-old engineering graduate today allegedly committed suicide at a hostel in S R Nagar here after watching videos that gave tips on how to hang oneself, police said.
According to a suicide note, purportedly written by Navin Kumar, he had "jotted" down certain points on killing himself with the help of a rope, S R Nagar Police Station Inspector Md Waheeduddin said.
"According to the suicide note, the youth had listed a plan of action like how to tie the rope to the ceiling fan and how to tighten the nook by watching videos on the same on a social media platform," the Inspector said.

Kumar, a native of Nalgonda district in Telangana, had been staying at the hostel since February this year and was pursuing coaching for some courses, he said.
"As per the suicide note he was under depression and hence resorted to the extreme step," the police officer said, adding a case under section 174 CrPC was registered.
