Youth Cong to fight for the rights of refugees

After its successful agitation for the implementation of the 73rd constitutional amendment in the state, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) today said they would now fight for the rights of refugees.
"We held a meeting and unanimously decided to fight for the rights of the refugees", J&K Youth Congress president Shahnawaz Choudhary told reporters after a delegations of refugees led by Rajeev Chuni met him here today.
He said the Youth Congress activists would fight for one-time settlement of all refugees, including compensation for the property which they had left during displacement, formation of a welfare and advisory board, reservations across the country in technical institution, and according domicile status for West Pakistani refugees.
He said they were ready to lead the agitation for the rights of refugees of 1947, 1965, 1971 and the refugees from West Pakistan. The Youth Congress leader urged Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to approve the demands of refugees at the earliest.
