Youth Congress demands Patnaik's resignation

Joining others, All India Youth Congress (AIYC) today demanded the resignation of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and health minister Damodara Rout for the death of a minor girl of Kendrapara who was set afire after a rape attempt.
"Naveen Patnaik government has failed to provide protection to the girls in the state ... Rape cases are mounting in the state," AIYC general secretary Kesav Chand Yadav said here.
He was here to join a demonstration organised by the youth and student Congress to press for the resignation of chief minister and health minister in the wake of the death of the 14-year-old girl.

The activists of the party brunt the effigy of chief minister near Congress Bhawan here and shouted slogans against him.
Yadav alleged the victim died due to negligence of her treatment.
