Activists of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) today protested against the NDA government over the Rs 11,300-crore PNB fraud case.
Shouting slogans against the government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the protesters took out a march from the Raisina Road towards the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) but were stopped by police en route.
The entire system was bypassed to favour the accused. All regulatory mechanisms were breached. Everything escaped the eyes of auditors and investigators, an IYC statement read.
"PM Modi needs to answer the nation as to why no action is being taken against these continuous scams occurring in the country," its president Amrinder Singh Raja, who led the protest, was quoted as saying in the statement.
