Protesters led by Karnataka Youth Congress President Rizwan Arshad mocked at BJP government over its "failure" in fulfilling its electoral promise of bringing back the black money and depositing Rs 15 lakh into the account of each citizen.
Youth Congress workers distributed fake cheques of Rs 15 lakh to the public while marching towards the venue of BJP's National Executive as a mark of protest.
"Modi had promised moon to the people during election campaign. He had claimed that only he had capability to bring back black money within 100 days from which every citizen of this country will be entitled for Rs 15 lakh. Now he seems to have forgotten it," Arshad told PTI.
"No one gets an opportunity to question him, not even media, we have to just listen to what he says. So we thought to remind him about his promise by distributing these fake cheques to members of BJP national executive who are meeting in the city," he said.
