Youth died during earthquake in Poonch

A youth collapsed and died when he was taking his family to safety in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir during the earthquake which shook northern parts of the country.
Zarid Ahmad collapsed while he was bringing out his family out of the house when the earthquake struck Mendhar belt of Poonch district last night, Superintendent of Police Poonch J S Johar said.
He later died, he said.
A case has been registered in this regard.
Medical examination of the deceased has been conducted and reports are awaited, officials said.
Measured at 6.3 on the Richter scale with its epicenter near the Afghanistan Tajikistan border, the earthquake was felt at several places across the state of Jammu and Kashmir last night.
