The family members of the victim, Rajat Sharma, and locals kept his body on the road for over two hours, causing a major traffic snarl.
They demanded strict action against TPDDL and blamed them for Rajat's death.
The incident had taken place yesterday at around 10.30 pm when the victim, a medical trainee at the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital (LNJP), had gone to the terrace of his home to attend a phone call. There, Sharma came in contact with the power line and sustained an electric shock.
The body was today handed over to the victim's family for last rites.
The family, however, kept his body on the Khanjawala- Rohini road and blocked the traffic demanding action against TPDDL.
"We had constantly complained about these hanging wires but it all went to deaf ears. On earlier occasions as well people have suffered shocks," said a resident of the area.
