Youth focus of Modi's vision, connect with them: Shah to BJYM

BJP president Amit Shah today asked his party's youth wing to connect young voters to it, saying they were key in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a new India.
Addressing the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha's national executive here, Shah said youths should be flag bearers of India's culture and traditions and take lead in the country's development.
Be it Digital India, Start-Up India or Stand-up India, the youth is Modi's focus, he said, asking the party's young leaders to reach out to the youngsters and popularise the government's works.
He also asked youth leaders to focus on 'swachhta' project and work on cleanliness in their areas, a BJP statement said.
Shah spoke at length about the party's growth from 11- leader Jana Sangh, the BJP's forerunner, to its current strength of over 11 crore workers besides more than 330 MPs and 1385 MLAs.
BJYM chief Poonam Mahajan said the outfit will organise a big programme to groom the country's cultural talent and hold national- and state-level competitions to motivate sports' talent.
