The youth Ashish Kolash (29) was waiting for an auto when he was waylaid by two robbers accusing him for involving in fight over a girl.
"I was waiting when the duo came and took me to one side and alleged that I had been involved in a fight with other students of a college over a girl. When I denied they started threatening me and while one of them held my hands the other took out my wallet from pocket," said Ashish.
Ashish raised an alarm after which the duo tried to flee from the spot. He chased them and caught one with the help of his two friends while the other robber managed to escape.
Later, Ashish and his friends took the man held by them, identified as an inter-state robber Pankaj alias Niraj, to Mukjerjee Nagar police station and handed him over to police.
