As the video footage of the December 26 incident was aired by TV channels today, police said they have already identified the assailants and would be arrested very soon. IG of Ernakulam Range S Sreejith described as "very serious" the incident in which members of a family including an infant, travelling in a jeep came under violent attack by two motorbike-borne persons at a petrol bunk in Njarackal area.
He said police probing the incident have identified the accused and they will be arrested very soon. Police said they had seized the vehicle used by the accused and collected, forensic evidences. A case of attempt to murder had been registered.
Jose who suffered multiple wounds in the attack was undergoing treatment at a private hospital here.
