Manish Yadav, a call centre employee, was crushed to death in Vasant Kunj area while he was on his way to office in the wee hours, police said.
He was riding a motorcycle, which was hit by an unidentified vehicle from behind near Mahipalpur flyover.
"A PCR call was received at around 12:55 AM informing us about the accident. Manish was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead," said a police official.
He fell from the bike and suffered grievous injuries while the vehicle which hit him fled the spot. Manish lived in Sewa Nagar area with his parents and was a bachelor. Further investigations are in progress, police said.
According to the police, three persons identified as Vipin Singh, Saurabh Singh and Akhilesh were crossing the road near Rajokri toll tax when an 'Eicher Tempo' hit Saurabh from behind. The impact was so hard that Saurabh died on the spot.
A case has been registered against the driver of the tempo who fled from the spot after the incident. Efforts are on to nab him, police said.
