As he hosts a TV show on some of the biggest studios of the Hindi film industry, Bollywood veteran Mahesh Bhatt says today's youth must know about cinema's rich history as that will encourage them to dream big and move ahead in life.
The 67-year-old filmmaker is hosting 'Khwaabon Ka Safar With Mahesh Bhatt', a weekly show that will go on air on EPIC, a Hindi entertainment channel, from October 19.
The programme will introduce viewers to the fascinating stories behind the famous studios of the film industry.
"I will present life sketch of persons associated with famous studios like Bombay Talkies, RK Studios and Prabhat Studios, among others, who dreamt big and set an example by fulfilling their dreams with conviction and hard work," Bhatt told reporters here today.
"Because of these dreams, the Hindi cinema has created such a rich legacy," said Bhatt, who was in the city to promote the show.
The show will highlight the struggle of those associated with these now well-known studios. It will provide hitherto unknown details about them and explore timeless tales of some of Bollywood's most iconic personalities, he said.
The noted filmmaker said it is necessary to give information to youth about cinema's rich history as that will encourage them to dream big and move ahead in life.
