A youth was shot at by some motorcycle-borne assailants here today, police said.
Gurkirtan Singh, a resident of Killin Village, was grievously injured in the incident as he received bullet injuries on his legs, they said.
The incident took place when Gurkirtan had come to a private hospital to meet a relative.
The accused -- Sucha Bhattia and Sunil Naughty -- had enmity with Gurkirtan's friend Sandeep, DSP (city) Yadwinder Singh Bajwa said, adding the accused wanted to take revenge from him due to which they attacked Gurkiratan.
The DSP said the police was trying to identify the third accomplice.
"The police is scrutinizing the CCTV footage and police teams have been sent to nab the accused," he said, adding a case has been registered against them under relevant provisions of the law.
