The 'gilli' hit a woman, following which her brother had a heated verbal argument with Dilip, who had organised the match, police said.
After the intervention by local residents, the dispute was settled, they said.
According to police, Dilip along with his accomplices returned and stabbed the youth.
Dilip was arrested, they said adding, the injured youth was admitted to hospital.
