Youth stabbed to death in west Delhi, accused arrested

A 25-year-old youth was stabbed to death in west Delhi's Ranjit Nagar area, following which the accused was arrested today, police said.
Chandergupt Rana alias Kalwa (27) allegedly stabbed to death Lalit in Ranjit Nagar area to "take revenge" after he was beaten by the victim a few days ago.
The body of Lalit was found near Rehabilitation Centre, D block in Ranjit Nagar at 11 PM yesterday. A police team rushed him to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, the DCP of Central Delhi police, Paramaditya, said.
Enquiry revealed that Lalit had engaged into a quarrel with Chandergupt, who was arrested from Sadar Bazar area today, he said.
Upon interrogation, the accused admitted of killing Lalit to take revenge.
"He told that Lalit had beaten him up and he was feeling agonised as his friends were taunting him over it. So, he hatched a conspiracy to take revenge and murdered him with a knife and fled from the spot," the officer added.
