After the Supreme Court rejected the bail plea of its leader Jagan Mohan Reddy, YSR Congress said it honours the verdict and attacked Congress accusing it of keeping Jagan away from the people.
"We will face the situation bravely and people will teach Congress and its co-conspirators a fitting lesson at an appropriate time," party leaders Y S Vijayamma, Konathala Ramakrishna and Ambati Rambabu said in a joint statement here.
Commenting on the rejection of Jagan's bail plea, they said "though we are disappointed, we appeal to the cadre not to lose heart."
The party leaders alleged "Congress, TDP and vested interests are conspiring to keep Jagan away from people and will be exposed in near future."
Y S Vijayamma claimed Congress and TDP will be swept away if the Andhra Pradesh assembly Speaker disqualifies the rebel MLAs for defying the whip and by-elections are held in the 18 constituencies.
"We are ready to face the by-polls, local body polls and even assembly elections at any point of time and we are confident of winning," she said.
