"When three other states, including Madhya Pradesh, were divided, the respective state assemblies had passed resolutions to this effect. But in the case of Andhra Pradesh, the Centre has begun the bifurcation process without a resolution adopted by the state assembly," YSR Congress Party leader Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, who was part of the delegation, told PTI
He also said the A K Antony Committee, appointed by Congress to examine the situation following its decision to support the creation of a separate Telangana state, did not visit the state to elicit the views of people residing in both the regions--Telangana and Seemandhra.
