"About 7,000 party workers and leaders would sit on a dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi to protest against the proposed tabling of Telangana Bill in the parliament. The party cadre and leaders will leave for Delhi on February 15 by two special trains," party senior leader Umareddy Venkateswarlu told reporters here today.
"We will highlight the single-minded approach of the Congress in dividing the State though 75 per cent of the population is against it. Any Bill with financial implications will have to be introduced in the Lok Sabha and not in Rajya Sabha.
"The two special trains will leave from Tirupati and Rajahmundry on February 15 and pick up cadre and leaders en route," he said.
In a separate press conference, party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma said party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be addressing public meeting at Srikakulam today and tomorrow.
In the Srikakulam meeting, former minister Dharmana Prasada Rao would join the party along with MLAs Vijay Kumar and Jagannayakulu.
