YUWA gets promoter in mobile communications platform Viber

Mobile communications platform Viber has decided to promote Jharkhand-based YUWA Foundation, which uses football to empower girls, through 'Vibe The Goal' campaign.
Viber (www.Viber.Com) has partnered with YUWA in a unique way that allows users to contribute to the success of YUWA team. Every message sent on Viber by a user will add to the amount that Viber will contribute towards education and creation of a permanent centre of excellence for their training and sustenance.
Through the fund raising campaign, Viber has reached out to over 19 million users in India.
Founded in 2009, YUWA is one of the largest girls' football programme in India with 250 players, which recently secured a bronze medal at Gasteiz Cup held in Spain.
The YUWA Foundation uses football as a platform to combat child marriage and human trafficking for the betterment of girls.
Commenting on the campaign, Anubhav Nayyar, Country Head Viber India, said, "VIBER is proud to partner with YUWA team. Through our association with YUWA we are aiming to generate maximum awareness about the NGO which has championed in social cause of combating with issues such as child marriage and human trafficking in India.
"Anyone and Everyone can be a part of the conversation on Viber to support the team. Every message sent on Viber will go a long way in contributing towards the upliftment of the social and economic conditions for these girls who have earned great reputation for India at national and international level."
YUWA team of 18 young girls aged between 11 to 14 years will be flying to US for Schwan's USA Cup at Blaine in Minnesota where the international tournament begins on July 15.
