Zardari will join other world leaders in the historic Russian city for the annual gathering that focuses on finding solutions to key economic challenges.
During the three-day official visit, Zardari will hold talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and meet several world leaders and dignitaries on the sidelines of the forum.
In keeping with the theme of "Effective leadership" for this year's meet, the president will highlight issues affecting the global economy and the increasing role of emerging economic powers in shaping regional and global agendas.
Zardari will also participate in a panel discussion and stress on minimising the impact of the global financial crisis and finding ways to strengthen energy security, regulate financial markets and introduce large-scale reforms, officials said.
The president will interact with the presidents and CEOs of leading international companies to seek investment in Pakistan, particularly in the energy sector.
