Zee Entertainment shares up over 5% ahead of Nifty inclusion

Shares of Zee Entertainment Enterprises surged over 5 per cent today ahead of its entry in the 50-share CNX Nifty index from tomorrow.
The company's scrip rose by 5.07 per cent to end the day at Rs 305.50 on the NSE. During the day, it gained 6.7 per cent to Rs 310.25.
At the BSE, Zee Ent's stock ended at Rs 306.60, up 5.51 per cent from its previous close.
On the volume front, 3.77 lakh shares of the company were traded at the BSE, while over 86 lakh shares changed hands at the NSE during the day.
United Spirits will be replaced by Zee Entertainment Enterprises in the National Stock Exchange's benchmark index Nifty from tomorrow.

India Index Services & Products Ltd, an NSE-Crisil joint venture that maintains Nifty index, had last month said in a statement that United Spirits Ltd (USL) will be excluded from the 50-share blue-chip index, while Zee Entertainment Enterprises will be inducted in the index.
Shares of United Spirits fell by 0.23 per cent to Rs 2,391.50 at the BSE, while on the NSE it managed to end in the green, up 0.11 per cent at Rs 2,404.90.
