ZEEL launches Bollywood movie channel 'Zee.One' in Germany

Media major Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL) today said it has launched a dedicated Bollywood movie channel in Germany 'Zee.One'.
"With our entry into Germany, we are now present in one of the most important and competitive TV markets worldwide. This is what makes the launch of Zee.One special for us," ZEEL Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Punit Goenka said in a statement.
ZEEL had announced in January this year that it would be launching a free-to-air TV channel in Germany featuring Bollywood films and popular Indian TV series.

Manipal Hospitals launch IBM Watson for Oncology * Manipal Hospitals has launched IBM Watson for Oncology, a cognitive computing platform, at six of its hospitals for providing information and insights to physicians to choose personalised, evidence-based cancer care options across India.
The oncologists at Manipal hospitals can access IBM Watson for Oncology for patients with breast, colorectal and lung cancer that are registered with a Manipal facility pan-India, the hospital chain said in a statement.

Even the patients who have received a cancer diagnosis but are not being treated at Manipal hospitals can consult a oncologist from the hospital chain with access to Watson for an second opinion by using expert opinion service, it added.

Hester Biosciences posts 29 pc jump in Q1 profit * Hester Biosciences today registered 29 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 5.99 crore for the quarter ended June 2016 as compared to Rs 4.66 crore in the same period last year.
The company reported net sales of Rs 30.13 crore in Q1FY17 as compared to Rs 24.53 crore for the previous corresponding period, thereby registering a growth of 23 per cent. The domestic sales grew by 21 per cent while exports grew by 14 per cent, a company statement said here.
The sales in the poultry divisions grew by 19 per cent while the large animal divisions have shown a growth of 41 per cent.
Godrej Interio partners Pepperfry for online sales
*Furniture company Godrej Interio is expanding its online presence in partnership with furniture marketplace Pepperfry, to cater to the top 20 cities in the country.
It further plans to expand to more number of cities next year, the company said in a statement.
"We see a significant part of our revenue coming from online channels in the future. From manufacturing the humble Storewell cupboard 80 years back to being a vibrant, innovative brand with a diverse portfolio, it has been a brilliant, exciting journey for us," said Shanu Singh, Head - eCommerce, Godrej Interio.
The home furniture collection will be priced at Rs 6,000 upwards with up to 25 per cent discount on all Interio products for the month of August, the company said.

SBI Life reports 25 pc rise in premium collection from Delhi
*SBI Life Insurance has registered over 25 per cent rise in gross premium collection from Delhi region at Rs 343 crore in the June quarter.
Its gross premium stood at Rs 274 crore in the April-June quarter of last fiscal.
Individual new business premium as of June 30, 2016 rose by 54 per cent to Rs 87 crore, from Rs 57 crore year earlier, the company said in a release.
The overall new business premium collection for Delhi Region grew by over 42 per cent to Rs 189 crore in first quarter of 2016-17, compared to Rs 133 crore year earlier.
The company also opened a new regional office in central Delhi today, inaugurated by MD and CEO Arijit Basu, to strength its business and customer services in the region.
SBI Life Insurance is a joint venture between country's largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) and BNP Paribas Cardif.
SBI owns 74 per cent stake, with BNP Paribas Cardif holding the remaining 26 per cent.
