Zinc prices fell by 0.20% to 125.90 per kg in futures trade today as participants reduced their exposures after the metal weakened at the London Metal Exchange (LME).
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in March declined by 25 paise, or 0.20%, to Rs 125.90 per kg in a business turnover of 83 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in April shed 10 paise, or 0.08%, to Rs 126.75 per kg in two lots.
Analysts said the weakness in zinc at futures trade was mostly due to weakness in copper and other base metals at the LME and low demand at domestic markets.
