Zinc prices fell by 0.24 per cent to Rs 122.85 per kg in futures trade today after speculators reduced their exposure, tracking a weak trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in April eased by 30 paise, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 122.85 per kg in a business turnover of 54 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in current month shed 25 paise, or 0.20 per cent, to Rs 122.20 per kg in 956 lots.
Market analysts said zinc prices fell due to a weak trend in base metals in global markets and muted demand from consuming industries at the domestic spot markets.
