Zinc prices fell by 0.43% to 127.75 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions after metals weakened at the London Metal Exchange (LME).
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in the current month declined by 55 paise, or 0.43%, to Rs 127.75 per kg in business turnover of 360 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in April shed 50 paise, or 0.39%, to Rs 128.65 per kg in 40 lots.
Analysts said the fall in zinc at futures trade was mostly on account of weakness in copper and other base metals at the LME after factory-gate deflation deepened in China, the largest metals user.
