Traders said sentiments turned better after zinc advanced to the highest price since August 2011 in global markets as inventories continued declining amid signs of improving demand in China, the world's biggest consumer of industrial metals.
Meanwhile, zinc for delivery in three months rose one per cent to USD 2,325 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, zinc ingot and nickel (4x4) rose by Rs 2 each to Rs 111-117 and Rs 1,092-1,098 per kg, respectively.
