Zinc strengthens on global cues

Zinc prices advanced by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous metals market today on increased buying by stockists, tracking a firming global trend.
Traders said sentiments in zinc bolstered as it trade near the highest level since August 2011 in global markets as inventories continued to decline.
Meanwhile, zinc for delivery in three months rose 0.4 per cent to USD 2,315.75 a metric tonnes on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, zinc ingot added another Rs 2 to Rs 113-119 per kg.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot 113-119, Nickel plate (4x4) 1,092-1,098, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 438, Chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 113, Lead imported 111, Aluminium ingots 155, Aluminium sheet cutting 156, Aluminium wire scrap 158 and Aluminium utensils scrap 155.
