MUMBAI (Reuters) - Shares in Bharti Airtel fell as much as 4.9 percent in early morning trade on Thursday after posting lower-than-expected quarterly earnings.
Net profit fell to 5.09 billion rupees in the Jan-March quarter versus the consensus forecast of 7.41 billion rupees.
The company said results were hit by higher depreciation, amortisation, interest, tax.
