MUMBAI (Reuters) - The BSE Sensex rose for a second straight session on Monday, as Mahindra & Mahindra rallied after its parent company sealed a share swapping deal with Spain's CIE Automotive, while lenders gained on value-buying even after the RBI kept rates on hold.
Mahindra and Mahindra provisionally rose 4 percent, while Axis Bank rose 1.6 percent.
The BSE Sensex provisionally gained 0.74 percent, while the 50-share NSE index <.NSEI> ended up 0.72 percent.
