Future Retail and Amazon.in enter into a strategic partnership

The initial partnership will focus on apparel but will later include other categories of products as well.

Future Retail Ltd on Monday said it is entering a strategic partnership with Amazon.in. According to the deal, Future group's portfolio of over 40 brands will be retailed exclusively through the Amazon.in platform.

The partnership will initially focus on the Future Group fashion brands but will subsequently cover other categories as well, Future Retail said in a press release to exchanges. 

"The bottom line in each of our retail success stories is 'know your customer'. .... Partnership with Amazon, which obsesses to be earth's most customer centric company, will enable us to leverage their strengths, investments and innovations in technology to reach out to wider set of consumers across India," Future Group CEO Kishore Biyani said in a statement.
