Reuters Market Eye - The Sensex edges lower as blue chips fall on profit-taking after both the benchmark index and the Nifty gained nearly 10 percent over the previous four sessions.
The Nifty and the Sensex are down around 1 percent each.
Top Sensex losers - Tata Motors falls 3 percent, HUL loses 2.7 pct, ONGC down 2.6 percent.
However, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have bought 50.5 billion rupees worth of cash shares in the previous four sessions.
