MUMBAI (Reuters) - The BSE Sensex, Nifty fall around 2.5 percent on Tuesday as lenders such as Yes Bank fell on fears that the RBI would announce new cash-draining measures to defend the rupee after it dropped to a record low.
Yes Bank fell 8.2 percent, while HDFC Bank lost 3.8 percent and ICICI Bank Ltd ended down 4 percent.
The BSE Sensex fell 449.22 points or 2.34 percent. Nifty ended down 2.5 percent or 143.15 points.
