The National Institute of Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (ni-msme) plans to increase its engagement with entrepreneurs in taking forward the branding and product promotion as a vital part of MSME business expansion.
As part of this, it recently conducted a training programme on promotional and branding strategies, attended by 13 individuals, mostly from the positions of joint directors, assistants and heads of departments in the industry and commerce ministry.
"We have planned to organise such training programmes for a total of six batches, primarily at the organisational level in next one year," said Upendra K Maurya, associate faculty member, School of Entrepreneurship and Extension, ni-msme. Based on the success and feedback from this exercise, nimsme later plans to frame relevant guidelines and processes to take them to the industry.
In December this year, it would organise a two-day workshop on 'Creating a Meaningful Brand'. The event would see 30-50 individuals participating in it, mostly the SME entrepreneurs.
