10.85% Paper Sees Rs 50cr Trades

The wholesale debt market segment of the National Stock Exchange clocked a volume of Rs 399.33 crore yesterday. The corporate debenture segment witnessed trades worth Rs 45.26 lakh.

There was significant activity in the 364-day treasury bills. The 364-day T-bill maturing on 3 July, 1998 was traded for Rs 135 crore at a weighted yield of 7.82 per cent.

The 364-day T-bill maturing in October was dealt at 8.10 per cent and the April ones at 7.63 per cent. The zero coupon government bond maturing in 1999 was traded for Rs 50 crore at a weighted yield of 9.02 per cent.

The 10.85 per cent government loan maturing in 2001 was traded for Rs 50 crore at a weighted yield of 10.31 per cent.

There were four trades reported in the 11.19 per cent 2005 for a sum of Rs 20 crore at a yield of 10.99 per cent.

At the shorter end the 12.14 per cent 2000 was dealt for a sum of Rs 10 crore at a weighted average yield of 10.10 per cent.

Among the state government securities the 13.05 per cent 2007 (Maharashtra) was dealt at a price of Rs 112.50 indicative of a yield of 10.89 per cent.
