11.75% Paper Sees Rs 778-Crore Deals

NSE REPORT

The wholesale debt market (WDM) segment of the National Stock Exchange clocked a trading volume of Rs 1211.26 crore primarily due to deals totalling Rs 778.18 crore in the 11.75 per cent gilts maturing on 2006.

The paper, which was auctioned on Wednesday, traded at a discount as the primary dealers were off-loading the paper in the market.

The security saw 56 trades at the weighted average yield of 11.79 per cent, at a low of Rs 99.65 and a high of Rs 100. The treasury bill segment witnessed transactions worth Rs 50 crore, while commercial papers were dealt for Rs 11 crore.

The 13.50 per cent government loan maturing on 2007 was traded at the weighted average yield of 11.83 per cent. The paper saw 14 trades and contributed to a volume of Rs 110 crore. It was traded at the low of Rs 106.40 and high of Rs 106.78.

The WDM also saw two repo trades worth Rs 20 crore for a term of nine days and at the rate of 7.4 per cent.

The 11 per cent government loan maturing on 2002 was traded for Rs 45 crore at the weighted average yield of 11 per cent. The 11.10 per cent government loan maturing on 2003 was traded for Rs 45 crore at the weighted average yield of 11.15 per cent.
