11.83% Gilt Draws Rs 30 Crore

The wholesale debt market has clocked a volume of Rs 288.78 crore yesterday.

The repo trades contributed Rs 10 crore volume and the corporate debenture segment accounted to trades worth Rs 818.3 lakh.

A repo deal was concluded in 12.5 per cent government stock maturing 2004 for a repo term of 12 days and at a rate of 8.72 per cent.

"There was trading interest in the government securities segments although some banks are building position for the sale of state government loan schedule next week," said a broker.

The 11.83 per cent government loan maturing in 2003 was traded for Rs 30 crore and there were five traded for it.

It was traded at the weighted yield of 11.40 per cent and was traded at the low of Rs 101.60, closed at Rs 101.65 before touching a high of Rs 101.70 during the day.

A bulk trade was done for the SBT02 securities for Rs 12 crore at the weighted yield of 13.92 per cent.

The 13.55 per cent government loan maturing in 2001 was traded at the weighted yield of 11.21 per cent for Rs 20 crore.

There were four trades done for the paper at the price of Rs 107.50 during the day.
