NSE REPORT
The wholesale debt market at the National Stock Exchange (NSE) clocked a volume of Rs 266.16 crore yesterday of which the corporate debenture segment accounted for trades worth Rs 38.24 lakh.
There was hectic buying activity in the government securities market as a consequence there was lot of price fluctuation, said a NSE broker.

With call money ruling at higher end there was no demand for treasury bills.
The 12.5 per cent government loan maturing in 2005 witnessed a volume of Rs 40 crore and was traded at a weighted yield of 11.52 per cent. The paper was traded at a low of Rs 104.26 and closed at the days high of Rs 104.50.
The 10.85 per cent gilt garnered Rs 30 crore and was traded at a weighted yield 10.90 per cent.
The security moved from a low of Rs 99.65 for the day to a high of Rs 99.80.
The zero per cent government loan, too, was in demand drawing a volume of Rs 38 crore at a weighted yield of 9.83 per cent. The paper was traded at a low of Rs 88.25, high of Rs 88.35 and closed at Rs 88.32.
There were 50 trades in the government securities segment, while 297 trades were reported in the corporate debenture segment.
