12.59% Paper Mops Up Rs 106 Crore

The wholesale debt market of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) witnessed trades worth Rs 629.70 crore yesterday.

Corporate debentures contributed around Rs 27.68 crore to the total volume.

The 12.59 per cent paper maturing in 2004 was actively traded during the day.

The turnover at this counter reached Rs 106 crore at a weighted average yield of 12.28 per cent.

The 12.14 per cent 2000 was traded for Rs 95 crore at 11.21 per cent, while the 12.5 per cent 2004 was traded for Rs 50 crore at a weighted average yield of 12.20 per cent.

In the treasury bills segment, the 364-days treasury bills maturing on July 3, 1998, was traded for Rs 40 crore at 8.46 per cent yield.

The treasury bill, maturing on April 24, 1998, also registered a turnover of Rs 35 crore.

In the corporate debenture section, the 14 per cent Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS) 2002 clocked a turnover of Rs 14.91 crore followed by 14 per cent Reliance 2000 with a turnover of Rs 12.11 crore.

The zero per cent Reliance Petro was also traded for Rs 59.92 lakh. The 16 per cent MRPL 2002 recorded trades worth around Rs 4 lakh.
