Delegates from 35 nations will attend the fourth world spice congress beginning in Chennai from January 23.
The three-day congress is being jointly organised by the Spices Board and the All India Spices Exporters Forum.
According to sources in Spices Board, the congress has evoked an overwhelming response.

For the first time, 120 delegates from 35 countries, besides over 210 Indian delegates, have confirmed their participation, the sources said.
The delegates will be representing the United States, Canada, Mexico, UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Belgium, Poland, France, Czech, Hungary, Portugal, Italy, Austria, Dubai and other countires.
Prominent participants include the chairman of European Spice Association, chairman of the spices section of the International General Produce Association, London and leading members of the American Spice Trade Asociation.
