The wholesale debt market (WDM) of the National Stock Exchange witnessed a dull trading session yesterday recording 35 trades and a turnover of Rs 198.80 crore.
The treasury bill segment saw a trading volume of Rs 40.60 crore as the call money rate ruled easy during the day. The 14.75 per cent bonds of IDBI were traded for Rs 10 crore at the yield of 13.60 per cent and priced at Rs 103.85. The zero per cent government loan, maturing in 1999, saw four trades, and was traded for Rs 20 crore. The paper was traded at the weighted average yield of 10.25 per cent, and at the low of Rs 94.10 and high of Rs 94.16. The 13.55 per cent government loan, maturing in 2001, was traded for Rs 20 crore at the weighted average yield of 11.64 per cent and in the band of Rs 105.25 and Rs 105.27. The 12.15 per cent Tamil Nadu state government loan, maturing in 2008, was traded for Rs 10 crore at the yield of 13.06 per cent. The 14-day treasury bill, maturing on June 20, was traded for Rs 15 crore at the weighted average yield of 5.99 per cent. The 12.14 per cent government loan, maturing in 2000, was traded for Rs 20 crore at the weighted average yield of 11.20 per cent.
