The file was put up to the minister for consideration following a fresh reference from the Industry ministry, after the Maruti employees raised the issue with Prime Minister Deve Gowda a fortnight ago.
The Prime minister subsequently called a meeting, where it was decided that DCA would reexamine the issue if the industry ministry made a fresh reference.
Government sources said such a reference was warranted since former Attorney-General Milon Banerjee held that Central government reference of the case to CLB would be improper.
The finance minister's clearance comes on the eve of the assurance committee meeting which is scheduled for tomorrow.
