Bajaj Allianz eases insurance claim norms for Uttarakhand victims

Will settle claims on confirmation of death by local authority/government of Uttrakhand or armed forces involved in rescue operations

Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance has relaxed its claim settlement norms to ensure faster claim settlement to the Uttarakhand flood victims. The insurer has streamlined the normal procedure which now involves minimum documentation in order to settle all the claims on priority.
 
Bajaj Allianz will settle claims on a confirmation of death by local authority/government of Uttrakhand or the armed forces involved in rescue operations.

A special team has been formed in the company’s head office at Pune to handle these cases on priority and efforts shall be made to settle maximum claims within 72 hrs, the company announced today.

Apart from the confirmation of government authorities the company will require a photograph of the deceased and KYC of the nominee or legal heir.
 
P Ravi Kutumbrao, Head Technical, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, said, "We have proactively relaxed our claim settlement process to ensure speedy financial relief to the victims’ families. We have liberalized our claim procedures and waived off certain conditions such as documentation and investigations. Our topmost priority is to keep in mind the sensitivities of our customer and make their claims process hassle-free.''
