Bank Of Maharashtra Chairman M M Vaish Passes Away

The chairman and managing director of Bank of Maharashtra, M M Vaish died of a massive heart attack today (Monday) morning at 5 am. He was 58. Prior to joining BoM as its CMD, Vaish was the executive director of UCO Bank. He came from the State Bank of India's associate group and worked at the management level in State Bank of Indore and State Bank of Saurashtra. He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter. Vaish will be cremated late, tonight. Meanwhile, the Union Ministry of Finance is said to have issued an order asking S C Basu, executive director of BoM to takeover as the CMD of the bank. When contacted, Basu said that he is yet to receive the order issued by the Ministry of Finance.
