The Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL) has registered a growth of 4.7 per cent in coal production in the fiscal 1996-97. A CCL report said raw coal production during this period was 32.21 million tonne against 30.76 million tonnes in the previous year, showing a growth of 4.7 per cent.
