The story of Apu and his dream was visualised by Satyajit Ray on the sliver screen for the whole world to unanimously acclaim it as a masterpiece of modern cinema. There were three films -- Pather Panchali (The Song of the Road), Aparajito (The Unvanquished) and Apur Sansar (The World of Apu)--and all of them were made in the late 50s and early 60s.
