Delhi government's budget

A year ago, the Aam Aadmi Party presented its first Budget, giving indication about its priority areas. It allocated more money for education, transport, public health and social welfare schemes as compared to the previous Sheila Dikshit-led Congress government. The outlay for education, for instance, in the current government is 24 per cent (Rs 4,570 crore) of the total Plan expenditure, compared with 11.1 per cent (Rs 1,782 crore) during the Congress rule.
